I am going to start an open jam starting this Saturday in Kenmore and plan to do it again every 1st Saturday of the month. If the demand is strong, I may do it every Saturday, but I am going to start with just once a month.
There is no fee or “catch” to this, I am not a bar and have nothing to do with booking bands. I am helping advertise my friends music store in Kenmore which is downstairs from where we will be jamming (plenty of room, about 1500 sq ft.) but thought it would be cool to get a lot of musicians together who are looking for others to jam with and I am looking for some people to possibly work on some original music too, but this is an OPEN JAM SESSION for anyone!
I have a full PA system with microphones and we will have drums set up to use also (drummers bring your own sticks). I can run a keyboard, bass and guitar direct (processors needed for electric guitars), or if you prefer you can bring an amp, but please bring your own guitar.
A processor (to run direct into the PA) or a 1x12 or 2x12 amp would be ideal for electric guitars, but if all you own is a half stack it is acceptable, but please be prepared to keep it under control.
I do ask that you respect the volume and the facility (smoking outside) and there is no age limit to this!
