His felt pants and jacket have decorative white trim, the top of his jacket has a purple bow, and there is a small original nail at the bottom of his jacket to hold his clothing in place (which is meant to be there). He has an oversized straw hat trimmed in red & green. His clothing and his hat are in wonderful shape considering the age of this doll!

His features are hand-painted, his limbs are jointed and his fingers are surprisingly intact! I believe he’s made to look like he’s sucking his thumb(s) because both are squared off and meet his mouth when his arms are raised towards his face.

Overall, he’s in excellent condition with no chips or cracks and would be a terrific addition to any doll collector! Circa 1930s-1940s.
