This sweet hand-painted collector plate shows a young girl in her happy place, enjoying her happy pastime of sitting in a flower field, knitting and whistling along with a singing bird friend! Only Sister Berta Goebel could beautifully depict the innocence of a young child in her artwork.

Issued in 1978, this is the 8th plate in the collector plate series. Although it doesn’t come with its original box, this beautiful plate, which is 7-1/2" in diameter, is in pristine condition with no chips, cracks or scratches. It would be a wonderful addition to the collection of the Goebel Hummel collector, or a thoughtful and personal gift to someone celebrating the year 1978!

Made in Rodental, West Germany!
