The cardinal is the state bird for Kentucky, as well as Ohio and 5 other states. However, this cardinal decanter was created exclusively for Kentucky, the home of the Beam Company since 1795! This is a female cardinal with a brilliant-colored red head, beak, wing tips and tail feathers, while her body is a pale brown. She’s standing on a tree trunk surrounded by grass.

This lovely ceramic decanter is from the makers of Jim Beam Whiskey. It stands approximately 13-1/2” tall and 6” wide. The cork stopper is partially intact, but enough that the top piece of the decanter sits safely and firmly onto the bottom piece. The original red US Internal Revenue tax strip is still present on the decanter and stopper. The gold foil strip on the front of the decanter reads Beam 86 proof 100 months old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey.

Part of their Trophy Series, this bottle is a creation of James B. Beam Distilling Co., KY-DRB-230. The bottle is Genuine Handcrafted Regal China 1968, C. Miller, Regal China Corporation; 145, Liquor Bottle.

This is a wonderful bottle with no chips or cracks, and bottle collectors or nature enthusiasts would appreciate this unique decanter!
