A shield on the front of the decanter says “First State of the Union. Delaware has earned this title by having been the first of the original thirteen states to ratify the Federal Constitution on December 7th, 1787. It also takes pride in calling itself the Blue Hen State.” There are also men seemingly showing their support of this historical moment. On the reverse side, there are symbols of Delaware – Twin Bridges, the State House, the word Delaware and the shape of the State. The stopper says “Blue Hen State”, and on top of the stopper, which is like the roof of a house, sits a blue hen on the neck of the bottle.

This proud-looking ceramic decanter is from the makers of Jim Beam Whiskey. It stands approximately 9-1/2” tall and 9-3/4” wide. The cork stopper is partially missing but there’s enough cork present to allow the top to sit safely on the decanter. The gold foil strip on the front of the decanter reads Beam 86 proof 100 months old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey.

Part of their State Series, this beautiful bottle is a creation of James B. Beam Distilling Co., KY-DRB-230. The bottle is Genuine Handcrafted Regal China 1972, C. Miller, Regal China Corporation; 145, Liquor Bottle.

This is a wonderful bottle with no chips or cracks, and bottle collectors, Americana enthusiasts, or those who hold a sense of pride for the State of Delaware would appreciate this unique decanter!
