This was the SECOND Jim Beam National Association Convention. It was hosted on June 20, 1972 by the Queen Mary Beam and Specialties Bottle Club in Anaheim, California, and this bottle was made to commemorate it.

The 4/5th quart decanter bottle is shaped in a large #2 that reads 2nd Annual Convention 1972. It’s quite impressive looking with the #2 in a grey green, the spaces around the 2 are in a patterned gold, and the stopper is a handsome fox in a black top hat, a red ascot, and the top portion of green jacket! Listed on the back of the bottle are the names of 25 affiliate clubs of the National Association. Also on the back is an image of the State of California with the words June 19-25, 1972, and Anaheim with the location on the State indicated with a gold star.

This special ceramic decanter is from the makers of Jim Beam Whiskey. It stands approximately 13-1/2” tall and 6-3/4” wide. The cork stopper is in excellent condition. The original red US Internal Revenue tax strip is still present on the decanter and stopper. The gold foil strip on the front of the decanter reads Beam 86 proof 100 months old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey.

Part of their Clubs and Organizations Series, this bottle is a creation of James B. Beam Distilling Co., KY-DRB-230. The bottle is Genuine Handcrafted Regal China 1972, C. Miller, Regal China Corporation; 145, Liquor Bottle.

This is a wonderful commemorative bottle with no chips or cracks, and bottle collectors or Jim Beam fanatics would appreciate this unique decanter!
