He’s regally shown with a top hat, bow tie and maybe a morning coat. She has a full skirted dress, closed eyes and a warm embrace. Are they newly married? Two lovers swaying to the music? Whatever the situation, they look in love and making every moment count!
This charming 6-1/4” high x 4-3/4” long x 4” wide planter is probably from the 1940s-1950s and, incredibly, it's free of any chips, cracks or crazing and is completely clean! The odd thing about it is that there is peeling glaze on a spot in its interior, and because of that there’s a small, loose piece of colored glaze on her skirt (see pictures), probably from a manufacturing defect. Hence, the $9 price.
Don’t let this stop you from loving it…it’s in absolutely excellent condition otherwise. Made in the USA in Zanesville OH!
P.S. Be sure to check out my other postings for additional planters!
