I am a part time drummer and a full time cabinetmaker. I wanted to make an actual Cajon kick drum and a Cajon snare. Where I could sit on a throne and play them instead of sitting on a Cajon and slightly leaning over to play. I have neck issues and in no time at all it can become painful while playing a regular Cajon. I came up with this prototype type concept. The Cajon kick has a nice sound and the Cajon snare has a nice crack to it. The Cajon kick measures at 18" high, 13" wide and 12"deep. It has a plate to hook your kick pedal too and has anti slip rubber feet on the bottom. It is made out of 5/8" birch ply. The Cajon snare is 9" wide by 5" deep. It is made of of 3/4" white oak ply.
