Bottom line; No musicians are not getting paid well enough anywhere. On the other hand musicians can't expect to get rich. If! You're good you might be able to make a living, but bar n coffeehouse owners aren't label people. That brings me to this point. We are on the edge of something and you all need to decide which way we fall. There are no industries coming to bring jobs and revenue but we can make this area more notable and prosperous through our art. Establishment owners do have to pay better and give more of what musicians need sound checks and more than twenty minutes. Make a live musician an Event not just another version of the jukebox in the corner. And bands keep plugging away and creating, making things interesting. Better treated bands make better bands which draws more people meaning more money for establishments. Being there for each other works for both parties. And if we raise enough eyebrows we may get some label people in town. We have a chance to be bigger than the Akron scene in the seventies. We have a chance to be heroes to Ohio.
