It’s a blast from the past, so step back in and enjoy it for yourself!
This is a wonderful & fun vintage brown Bakelite and metal View-Master with 17 accompanying 3-D photo reels (which are cardboard disks with 14 small transparent Kodachrome full-color photographs on film). Included with this View-Master are 17 reels of the following:
Goldilocks and the Three Bears (1946), The Three Little Pigs (1948), The Ugly Duckling (1948), Hansel and Gretel (1952), Rin Tin Tin in “Vanishing Guns” (1955), Rin Tin Tin in “High Danger” (1955), Rin Tin Tin in “Indian Ambush” (1955), Little Black Sambo (1948), Rumpelstiltskin (1955), Cinderella (1953), Boys Town Nebraska U.S.A. (1951), Jack and the Beanstalk (1951), Little Red Riding Hood (1950), The Pied Piper of Hamlin (1953), The Ascension – Part 3 of The Easter Story (1950), Huckleberry Hound “Lands on the Moon” (1960-has original sleeve), and a View-Master Preview Reel Picture Tour of Television & Cartoon Favorites (Popeye-1962, Woody Woodpecker-1951, Donald Duck, Bugs Bunny-1959, and Flintstones/Pebbles & Bamm-Bamm-1964).
All the photo reels are completely intact with the exception of 1 photo film missing from both Jack and The Beanstalk & the Preview Reel. Also included with the 17 reels are 2 empty reel sleeves – 1 standard reel sleeve that holds 3, and 1 Lassie and Timmy from 1959.
The View-Master has been fully tested and works great! It does have a piece of Bakelite missing near the viewing “handle,” but it doesn’t at all affect the working condition of this otherwise great piece of Mid-Century history!
