We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Worker 1099 Contractor to join our dynamic facilities team. Duties
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and building interior systems to ensure continuous operation.
Repair and troubleshoot electrical equipment using schematics, electrical work techniques, and tools such as ohmmeters.
Conduct HVAC system repairs, including diagnosing issues with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units to maintain optimal climate control.
Utilize hand tools and power tools for carpentry, painting, welding, and general facility repairs to uphold building integrity and appearance.
Maintain facilities equipment by performing inspections, repairs, and upgrades in accordance with safety standards and operational requirements.
Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals for complex systems such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and plumbing systems.
Supervise or assist with maintenance painting projects and oversee the use of maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) supplies to ensure proper inventory levels.
Requirements
Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related fields with a strong mechanical knowledge base.
Proficiency in electrical work including repair of electrical equipment and understanding of electrical schematics.
Hands-on experience with HVAC system repair and plumbing system maintenance and repair.
Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software for work order management.
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and ohmmeters effectively.
Knowledge of building interior maintenance practices including carpentry, painting (residential painting), and general facilities upkeep.
Strong communication skills in English for clear documentation and customer service interactions.
Supervising or leadership experience is a plus for coordinating maintenance activities efficiently.
